Regina, much to her displeasure, is a petite girl in every sense of the word. She stands at a mere 5'2", (and suspects that she won't grow much taller, if at all). Her whole life, she's been a thin girl. No matter how much she tries to eat, her body doesn't seem to keep to be able to hold extra fat. Regina has never liked having such a slight frame, feeling that being so tiny doesn't help much when trying to convey a strong personality. Not surprisingly, Regina inherited the traditional Black family coloring—fair skin, dark hair, and cold, sharp aristocratic features. Something she's rather proud of are her eyes and their unusual color, an incredibly dark brown that often looks black at first glance.

If there was ever anyone with a knack for smooth-talking, it would be Regina . After years of quietly figuring out what it is people want to hear, she finds it fairly easy to get people to like her by playing to the particulars of their personality and crafting her personal image to their liking.

Ironically enough, the only person Regina hasn't figured out is herself. Regina is quite the conflicted girl. Though she hides it rather well, Regina has an insatiable need to feel accepted and relies heavily on the opinions of others (namely her parents and fellow housemates) to validate herself. Because of this deeply ingrained complex, she sometimes finds it hard to tell the difference between her own beliefs and the feelings of others. She likes being on the "winning" team. That said, Regina is well-convinced that she is an independent thinker that does everything on her own terms (much like her disowned older sister) and doesn't take it too well when people try to tell her otherwise.

Regina Michèle Black is the second child of Orion and Walburga Black. As it was common practice for the oldest families of pureblood wizarding aristocracy, no one batted an eyelash when the two second cousins of the House of Black were wed, ensuring another generation of pureblooded Blacks.

Regina's parents had always been on the rather stuffy side of the parental spectrum, but after disowning her "blood traitor" sister Sienna the summer before her fifth year, have taken to bestowing affection on their favored younger daughter as well as they know how.
